There are many gatherings and events that take place at Raven’s Knoll. Before each event there will be posts talking about the activities that are planned and afterwards we will try to post descriptions of some people’s experiences.

Beltaine Work Weekend – May 4 to 6, 2013
The first work weekend at Raven’s Knoll features a May Pole Dance and Beltaine ritual, as well as a Walpurgisnacht ritual and bonfire … as well as sweat and work to open the campground. (No cost!)

Midgard Festival – May 17 to 20, 2013
Everyone is kin and kith at this gathering. This is the 10th anniversary of this Norse-based fest, which also includes many other paths. Highlights include a Bardic competition, a Grand Feast, and ritual procession to honour Nerthus.

Three Rivers Festival – June 7 to 9, 2013
This festival is the annual gathering of the Eastern Ontario members of Ár nDraíocht Féin: A Druid Fellowship. This year will be hosted by Dancing Lights Grove.

Pagans Unplugged – June 28 to July 1, 2013
This is a simple camping weekend for Pagans, without being plugged in to phones, computers, and worries. There is no programming, just hanging out with friends. (It is not a music event.)

Hail and Horn Gathering – June 28 to July 1, 2013
This is the second year for this Heathen and Ásatrú spiritual event. This year will see a blót to the goddess Frigg and the raising of a god-pole in her honour, a húsel feast of traditional foods, and a formal high sumbel, as well as workshops and games.

Reiki I & II Certification Retreat – July 5 to 7, 2013
Caroline Denby (Inspirenergy) and Shantelle Watt (Swirly Thing) are honoured to be offering Reiki I and Reiki II certification. Come join them in this sacred place for this sacred series of alignments. For more information on this retreat see the Facebook event.

Witches’ Sabbat – July 12 to 14, 2013
This is the first year for this gathering of hedgewitches and traditional witchcraft. The theme this year is “The Master of the Art Magickal and the Lord of the Craft.” The focus herb will be wormwood and a ritual Horned Lord stang will be dedicated. Sarah Lawless (“Witch of Forest Grove”) will be the special guest; flying in on her broomstick from British Columbia.

Shantelle Watt & Paul David’s Handfasting – July 20, 2013
This handfasting is a legal wedding which will be officiated by Druid Priestess Julie Derosiers. All members of the Pagan community are welcome. Regular camping rates apply.

AnticiFest – July 26 to July 30, 2013
Can’t wait for Fest? No one can. That is why scads of people arrive early to holiday before the wondrous event that is the Kaleidoscope Gathering. Good times are anticipated. Regular camping rates apply. But … your stay may be anything but regular.

Shamrock and Polka Dot Dan’s Handfasting – July 27, 2013
This handfasting will feature the nuptials of a well-known Montreal Priestess and an infamous scamp known by all as Polka Dot Dan. All members of the Pagan community are welcome. Regular camping rates apply.

Kaleidoscope Gathering – July 31 to August 5, 2013
The Kaleidoscope Gathering is Canada’s largest Pagan festival, which has been going for 24 years. The theme this year is “Heroe.” Myths and legends of heroic virtue inspire us, as we each engage in our own heroe’s journey. The gathering is both madcap fun and spiritual vastness; with concerts, rituals, performance art, vendors and a vast plethora of workshops on a bewildering array of fantastically interesting and fortuitously enlightening Pagan, Heathen, Magickal and esoteric spiritual paths and traditions! (Only attendees of the festival may camp at Raven’s Knoll at this time.)

Red Spiral Women’s Retreat – T.B.A. 2013
This retreat is a short but effective weekend breather from the day-to-day grind, crammed with activities and time to re-connect with your own spirit, with nature and with other women of like mind. (Women only, 16 and up. Only attendees of the retreat may camp at Raven’s Knoll at this time.)

The Lost Dominion Screening Collective and Raven’s Knoll present: Cinema Under the Stars IV – August 10, 2013
Interesting and fun cinema … under the stars.

Harper Family and Friends Reunion – August 30 to September 2, 2013
The Harper Clan and their extended friends and family camp at the Knoll, where they whoop it up and relax in equal measure, in the woods, at the beach, around the bonfire … and at the horseshoe pits. Campground is open to the public.

KornuKopia Gathering – September 13 to 15, 2013
This gathering for Pagans, Heathens and their friends to celebrate the last bounty of the Summer and the Turning of the Wheel of the Year into Fall, honouring the Gods in mirth and reverence. The festival features the offering of the effigy of a boar by the Hero to the Goddess on behalf of the folk, workshops by community members, chanting and singing around the campfire, and a communal Fall Fruits Feast.

Siling Labuyo Arnis Proficiency Seminar (SLAPS) 2013, Part II – September 21 to 22, 2013
Come to experience this amazing Filipino martial arts, taught by Badger Jones and friends. Hands on instruction will be provided covering single stick, knife, staff and spear, as well as empty hands techniques. There will be test cutting with live blades, and the ever-popular dirty tricks workshop.

The campground is open for regular camping, unless otherwise noted. When an event is specifically identified as “closed to the public” people must register for, and attend, the event to enjoy Raven’s Knoll at those times.
